The gift of fantasy has meant more to me than my talent for absorbing positive knowledge. –Albert Einstein

FACT or FANTASY

Does a culture-based need for … fantastical tales necessarily mean that mythical creatures do not exist – and never will? Are all monsters merely metaphors for the challenges of life? What about aliens from out there? Are they also figments of our subconscious? Well if you believe like I do that out there is a cosmic illusion, then an ET craft couldn’t have crashed at Roswell. So where did the technological wonders that were found within that strange object come from? Possibly from the cracks in our perception of reality?

Why do we need to look for Bigfoot?

Across human societies, variations on mythical creature stories like that of Bigfoot have persisted for thousands of years, and accounts of seeing or hearing them still abound. There may be some basic culture-based need for these fantastical tales, said Todd Disotell, professor of anthropology at New York University.

Was Roswell A Plant?

Could the famous Roswell crash be a modern day Ancient Astronaut intervention?

The `Ontological Cracks’ Humans Experience

Which brings me to another ontological crack of phenomenology – the so-called – missing time experience; one of the memes of the whole `alien abduction’ experience.

The salvation of mankind lies only in making everything the concern of all. –Alexander Solzhenitsyn

OF UNIVERSAL CONCERN

I have to smile whenever I read that a group of inter-dimensional/intergalactic beings are not only judging our behavior, but also trying to influence it. With all the alleged billions of planets “out there” one might think the Hathors would have more interesting things to do in their higher realms than spy on us. I would love the opportunity to cross-examine one of these channeled entities. At best they are part of the consciousness of the channeler; at worst they are the cosmic cousin of the trickster found within the Ouija Board. All they do is talk, talk, and talk. Tell us how to stop the flow of oil – or mind your own business.

Increasing Intensity Of The Chaotic Node: The Gulf Of Mexico

Again, the current situation in the Gulf is a direct result of human arrogance, greed and stupidity on the part of the corporations involved in this incident and due to governmental negligence.

BP is burning rare sea turtles alive, blocking efforts to save them

By now, almost everyone is aware of the out-of-control oil spill down in the Gulf of Mexico that seems to be getting exponentially worse with each passing day. But what people may not know is that BP’s efforts to control the oil by burning it are actually burning alive a certain rare and endangered species of sea turtle.

How the BP oil catastrophe could destroy a major U.S. city

So what happens when a Katrina-class hurricane comes along and picks up a few million gallons of oil, then drops that volatile liquid on a major U.S. city like Galveston or New Orleans?

Fools! They refuse to believe life exists in meteorites. I showed them at the astrophysics conference what I just showed you. But no! Even with a microscope they are blind! What do I have to do? Hit them over the head? – from the Andromeda Strain

The HOPEFULLY GOOD, the POSSIBLY BAD, & the DEFINITELY UGLY

It’s once again time for some not-so-random thoughts: I doubt that posting radiation levels on cell phones will deter cell phone use, but it is a good move. How about doing the same for microwave ovens and other radiation-producing appliances? The second article reminds me of the movie Andromeda Strain. But then again I say that every time they open capsules from space. The third article is very disturbing. We can’t tell a real UFO from a manmade device as it is now – can you imagine what it will be like once the drones are released? We won’t know what we are seeing on YouTube.

San Francisco passes cell phone radiation law

San Francisco has become the first city in the US to require mobile phone retailers to post radiation levels next to the handsets they sell.

Hayabusa asteroid capsule opening gets under way

The canister, which returned to Earth on 13 June, is being worked on at the Japanese space agency’s (Jaxa) Sagamihara Campus in Kanagawa. It is hoped the vessel will contain small amounts of dust grabbed from the surface of asteroid Itokawa by a spacecraft in 2005.

FAA under pressure to open US skies to drones

There are two types of unmanned planes: Drones, which are automated planes programmed to fly a particular mission, and aircraft that are remotely controlled by someone on the ground, sometimes from thousands of miles away.
