Interestingly, according to the first commentary, <i>when misinformed people &hellip; were exposed to corrected facts in news stories, they rarely changed their minds. In fact, they often became even more strongly set in their beliefs.<\/i> For just this reason I&rsquo;ve maintained for quite a while now that with the <i>UFO Phenomenon<\/i> there is no significant difference between hoaxes and real events. When it comes to people&rsquo;s beliefs &ndash; disinformation that is consistent with that belief is just as&nbsp;convincing as a real event &ndash; even after the hoax is exposed.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><b><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Real life &lsquo;Inception&rsquo; deceptions<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><i><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">For all of its &#8220;Matrix&#8221;-like convolutions and &#8220;Alice in Wonderland&#8221; allusions, the new film &#8220;Inception&#8221; adds something significant to the ancient ruminations about reality&rsquo;s authenticity &#8212; something profoundly relevant to this epoch of confusion.
